The Canon EOS 50E is a 35mm autofocus SLR film camera from Canon’s EOS system, designed for advanced amateur and enthusiast photographers. It combines electronic automation with manual control options and is compatible with the full range of Canon EF mount lenses.

The camera features Eye-Controlled Focus (E-CF), allowing the user to select autofocus points by looking at them through the viewfinder. In addition to this, the EOS 50E offers multiple autofocus modes, comprehensive exposure control, and support for motorized film advance and rewind.

The body is constructed primarily from polycarbonate with a metal internal chassis. Operation is fully electronic, and power is supplied by standard lithium batteries. The camera supports both automatic shooting modes and full manual control.
