The MC Rubinar 1000/10 Macro mirror lens is a legendary 1000mm ultra-telephoto built for photographers who demand extreme reach and uncompromising construction. This is not a lightweight travel lens — it’s a large, heavy, all-metal optic designed for stability, durability, and long-distance performance.
With its fixed f/10 aperture and catadioptric (mirror) optical design, the Rubinar 1000/10 delivers powerful magnification ideal for astrophotography, moon photography, wildlife, surveillance, and long-range subjects. The substantial weight helps reduce micro-vibrations, making it best suited for tripod or monopod use.
The multi-coated (MC) optics improve contrast and control flare, while the fully manual focus mechanism allows precise adjustment when working at extreme distances. Built like a tank, this lens is well known for its industrial Soviet-era engineering and long service life.

Item condition
Item is in working, used condition. Focusing ring requires slight force to rotate, unable to say if it is a feature of this Soviet engineering feat, or due to old grease in the lens.
The front elements of the lens show smearing (probably due to improper cleaning by previous owner). In the rear section white oxidation (?) is visible on one of the rings holding the elements. The smears and oxidation are not visible on the photos - tested with a full-frame DSLR.
Photos depict the actual item. The item comes with 1 month warranty. The item has a serial number of 930747.
